TROUTMAN ISN’T MAGA– BUT SMART MAGA VOTERS BACK HIM: HERE’S WHY

I have a MAGA friend who is backing the campaign heavily who says this:

“I’d rather have a smart independent representative who agrees with me on 40% of the issues than a Democratic puppet who will derail our agenda at every turn.”

See I’m not his ideal candidate but he is smart enough to know that a MAGA candidate has ZERO chance of winning in deep blue California district 47 come November. Its just throwing your vote away.

Indeed, it is actually worse than throwing your vote away because voting for a MAGA candidate in the primary blocks out better choices who can actually win– it is basically like voting for Dave Min.

A lot of people like to say MAGA voters are dumb– all they need to do is meet this guy and they’d realize how wrong they are.

He’s brilliant. And he’s kind. And he’s thoughtful.

See MAGA voters aren’t dumb– they never have been. They just tend to be a lot more absolutist than the rest of us.

I can relate to MAGA voters because I’m absolutist too– just in different ways.

Where I depart from MAGA is that my principles are simply different.

I come from a place of freedom from government encroachment FIRST.

Instead of America First, I am Freedom First. And where America = Freedom I am a super duper patriotic guy.

Like the most patriotic.

But when America starts to not equal freedom you will see me grow agitated.

Which is why when national guardsman started being deployed into our cities I was pretty quick to enter politics.

Not going to stand for armed soldiers occupying America. Not happening on my watch.

But I digress.

MAGA voters should back Troutman not because I am MAGA (I’m not)– review my thoughts below to better understand this– but because I am better aligned with your views than any Democrat AND MAGA WILL NOT WIN SO WHY THROW YOUR VOTE AWAY?

So let’s unpackage this a bit.

A MAGA guy from Laguna Nigel named Dan emailed me the other day (you can do the same btw–winners@troutmanforamerica.com) and he asked me the following:

Why would you not support cleaning up election fraud as they are trying to do in many blue states? Do you support the Second Ammendment and open carry? Do support strong borders and deporting all illegals and I mean all? Do you support banning Sharia law ? Do you support ending birthright citizenship and chain migration ? Do support making sure the lunatics in Iran never get nuclear weapons ? These are key issues for most of MAGA supporters so we need to know where you stand. Thanks Dan

I figured I’d answer these questions for all of you even though LET ME EMPHASIZE that my own views are ultimately irrevelant. I will serve the people in District 47 and get what THEY want done. What I think will NOT change my hard work for the people here. I will serve THEM.

But here are my answers:

  1. Election fraud: Those claiming election fraud are either commiting a MASSIVE crime or identifying a MASSIVE crime. This is high stakes but it cuts both ways. NOTHING more dangerous to our system than election fraud. Somebody should go to jail in my opinion. If there IS election fraud– I support the HARSHEST penalties. But if someone claims election fraud just because they are a sore loser they also should be HEAVILY penalized for undermining our system. Those who claim fraud but can’t prove it belong in jail right alongside those who commit it. The end.
  2. Second amendment: I am on record on this issue (watch this video stating at the 44:46 mark). In a sentence– I am not a gun nut but I AM a freedom nut. I’ve never owned a gun. Don’t want one. No interest in guns. But I have a DEEP interest in assuring the freedom of my fellow man. I view the issue as what the GOVERNMENT can take from you– and I would never want to see the government disarming an entire citizenry. This would be a very scary thing– more scary, in my view, than a needlessly armed society (which is what we currently have.) So you can count on me to broadly enforce the Second Amendment the way I would the First Amendment and any other RIGHT you have!
  3. Borders/Immigration: There are two issues here. 1. Who should we let in? 2. Who should we deport? The first issue is a policy issue. The second is a law enforcement issue. On the policy issue– I will support whatever the people in my district want. If they want a 100 foot high wall that spans 10,000 miles at tremendous cost– I would back it. But if they want to allow more low-cost Christian tax paying immigrants into the nation I would back that too. I can see both sides of this policy issue– the sacred rule of “we were here first” versus the sacred rule of “cheap labor is important” is a real tweener to me, especially given the cost of living right now. On enforcement I am much less squishy. The law should always be enforced AS WRITTEN. By definition if a person is here “illegally” they should not be and I suppose HEAVY TARGETED enforcement unless/until the law changes–but I absolutely DO NOT support masked and heavily armed ICE agents patrolling our streets. No way. The government can’t enforce the law by taking away the freedom of American citizens. Hope this helps.
  4. Banning Sharia law: Huh? You lost me on this one. Our constitution forbids ANY religion from having its laws enforced. Sharia law is already banned, just as Jewish or Christian or Tibetan or any other religion’s law is banned. If you’re asking me whether I would ban the free exercise of a religion, respectfully, you’re nuts. No chance. I believe all people are FREE to believe whatever they want and can abide that religion– so long as they do not hurt others. If YOU want to cover up head to toe because you think you can best please god that way– do it. If YOU want to run around close to naked because you think god loves your body exposed– rock and roll. Just don’t hurt anyone or violate any of our SECULAR laws and we’re all good.
  5. Birthright citizenship: The constitution says what it says my friend and you will not see me trying to change it–especially not on something like this. Its a beautiful thing that people born here get to have the rights of Americans. I wish everyone in the world lived in freedom the way we get to. And people born here tend to love this nation–first-generation immigrant kids work their *sses off. Sorry, but can’t back MAGA on this one.
  6. Iran: This is why you guys need Troutman so badly. NO need for this war at all. Troutman could have got a GREAT deal done without wasting a trillion dollars of our money. Iran is making us look SO BAD right now because Trump went to war WITHOUT A PLAN. He thought it would be easy like the Maduro thing. But Iran is tough and very resolute. The Iranian people are actually pretty awesome–so you shouldn’t call them all lunatics. The dudes in charge aren’t even necessarily all lunatics either– but they want to break us up with Israel, which is why I have said we should just make Israel a state and get it over with. Once that happens the Iran war ends itself and Iran won’t even want nukes anymore. Peace would come so quickly. Regardless, we still have an opportunity to make a good deal with those guys right now. Hope we get it done.

So there you go.

Troutman isn’t MAGA. But he is a strong, capable and intelligent LEADER (and family man) who believes in FREEDOM and can be TRUSTED to do what he says he’s going to.
