The Troutman for America campaign is a run away freight train right now.

But winning isn’t the objective– helping people is.

In my work as a telecom lawyer I see a ton of consumers get taken advantage of by sleazy websites– particularly sweepstakes websites– where people will enter their information and answer questions in the hopes of winning a prize.

Sometimes the prizes are given out– many times they’re just a scam.

But even where prizes might be awarded to a very low number of people the majority of folks entering are rewarded with nothing but robocalls and texts and spam email they didn’t want or expect.

When I am in Washington I am going to look into tightening the rules here– just like I tightened the rules on the entire lead generation industry in creating R.E.A.C.H.

I’ve stopped billions of robocalls without even being in Washington– can you imagine what I can do when I get there?

To be sure I am going to keep SMALL BUSINESSES SAFE. And make sure quality lead generation can operate profitably connecting consumers with businesses that can help them!

But I look forward to the day the scammers are all SHUT DOWN.
