  1. You have hit very close to hitting upon a means that politicians use to get elected, garner votes, get to be a known viable candidate. And to conjure up a platform to sell to the people, such as “such as a chicken in every pot, free day care, free medical, etc.” Bottom line is a means to gather money as a gateway to “Political POWER”. These political entities need some uniform public level of constraint. A politicians personnel gains, political power, and wealth needs to be checked, and become a primary area to focus. A organization like NRA, Heritage Foundation, and many more need to take on a bigger role and focus on Congress reforms, one step at a time. First step raise funds and grow to be come a big National Voice for advocating new Congressional Check and Balances to refocus away from todays corrupt tactics.
